Signing up at ApexBets takes one form and one SMS code. Have these three things ready
The form will ask for your South African ID number, a cellphone number that can receive an SMS right then, and an email address you actually use. Foreign passports are not offered as an option on the form; the single ID field expects an SA ID number. FICA: when the documents actually matter
Registration itself asks for no documents. FICA verification arrives when money wants to leave: South African law requires the bookmaker to confirm your identity before paying out, so a copy of your ID and proof of address will be requested before your first withdrawal. Until verification is done the account carries a Temporary badge with a Verify Account button at the top of the wallet, and the withdrawal screen stays locked. If something goes wrong

Password rejected. The live checklist only goes green when all three rules pass. The one that catches people is the no-spaces rule; a trailing space from a phone keyboard autocomplete fails silently.
ID number rejected or account flagged. One account per person and per household is the rule, and the operator matches on ID number. If you have registered before, recover that account instead of creating a second one; duplicates get suspended with any bonuses voided.
